Jazlyn has not only achieved success at an early age academically, from graduating high school at only the age of fifteen and becoming a licensed cosmetologist a month after her seventeenth birthday, but has achieved success career wise as well. She had become introduced to this world of art by her sister (who is an independent contractor at a salon and spa in downtown Orlando). She was a fifteen year old freshman at Seminole State in the SGA program working towards her clinical psychology degree when her sister asked for her assistance. Jazlyn then agreed to work for her sister while she was studying at school. While she was personally assisting her sister with daily cleaning, filing, catering to clientele and book keeping she began to shadow from a distance what the stylists were creating. She then began to fall in love with the art of creating vision with a pair of shears. She then finished her semester at Seminole state and enrolled into the Aveda Institute of Orlando cosmetology program. She graduated thirteen months later acquiring 1602 hours instead of the standard 1200 hours required by state. She has worked from shadowing and learning from master stylists and barbers to working at private salons to barbershops. She has attended varies continuing education courses from color, to advanced blending techniques. She has a year and a half experience as a licensed cosmetologist but has been in the industry for four years. She specializes in the art of fading, men’s cuts, woman’s cuts, creative vibrant color, and advanced blow dries. Jazlyn has a value for customer service a vivacious effervescent quality to her with a charismatic flair. She is only eighteen years old and has already reached the heights of those who are many years older than she is. Just another example to prove that art is art no matter how old the painter is holding the brush.
